A group hoping to save windows XP after the release of Microsoft vista last year has gotten over 110,000 petitions since people are complaining about how it takes so much memory, slower speed, and space it requires to get it to work
I had Windows XP on my computers. I bought Windows Vista, Installed it and have been having trouble with it since. No body told me that my computer had to be set up for vista, My printer, graphics card and road runner. I am going to reinstall XP so every thing will work.
PUT A WARNING LABEL ON THE BOX, "HAVE A COMPUTER PLACE INSTALL IT OR CHEAPER YET, BUY A NEW COMPUTER.
Windows Vista, which I tried to have installed on my HP notebook, quite frankly SUX & BIG TIME TOO! I had to reverse the damage done w/ Vista to get back to XP which I LOVE. It's XP for me not 'vista'. Got that Microsoft? Leave it the EFF alone. Go someplace else to play & stay out of my field. 'vista' must be a cousin (inbred @ that) of 'AOL', another joke on the gullible 'merican 'public' similar to El Presente Bush. Don't we cut down 'bushes', unsightly ones, in our yards?
"Most consumers buying PC's are buying Vista".
Considering that most consumers buying new OEM computers don't have any choice but to buy one with Vista pre-installed, it just strikes me as odd as to how Microsoft can say that Vista is a success. My current set-up will run Vista in all it's different flavors, but I can't justify spending over $200 for an OS that just slows down my computer and doesn't run over half of the software that I own. If I was "forced" to give up XP, I'll move to Linux.
XP looks better and better. Why else would Microsoft have come out with SP3 for XP if it wasn't continuing its support for XP in earnest? Vista remains a slow, bloated, incompatible (and too-often-buggy) behemoth of an OS and should be scrapped. BTW it's no surprise that Mac sales are waaaaay up, in no small part because of the problems with Vista.
